(Source: City of Charlotte, NC) CLT's busy holiday travel week is underway. The Airport is expecting a 2 to 4 percent increase in passengers originating their flight at CLT this Thanksgiving compared to last year, according to the latest figures. The busiest travel days will be Tuesday, November 25 and Wednesday, November 26. On both days more than 25,000 local travelers are anticipated to depart from CLT. Passenger traffic is projected to peak once again Sunday, November 30 and Monday, December 1 with more than 26,000 fliers each day expected to takeoff from Charlotte Douglas for their return trip home.
